Available Rebates for 2025

HEEHRA Rebates (Home Electrification & Appliance)

  • Up to $8,000 for households earning less than 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI).

  • Up to $4,000 for households earning between 80% and 150% of the AMI.

  • $200 installer incentive available for low-income single-family heat pump HVAC installations.

Eligibility Requirements:
  • Must be a retrofit project (no new construction).
  • Installation must be performed by a TECH-enrolled and HEEHRA-trained contractor.
  • Equipment must be ENERGY STAR® certified and either 2-stage or variable capacity.
  • No new dual fuel installations are eligible.
  • Limit of one unit per household.
TECH Clean California Incentives

  • $1,000–$1,500 available for replacing non-heat pump HVAC systems with qualifying heat pump systems.

  • Incentives apply to single-family and multifamily homes regardless of income.

  • Rebates can be combined with other state and federal incentives to maximize savings.
Eligibility Requirements:
  • Must be a retrofit project (no new construction).

  • Installation must be performed by a TECH-enrolled contractor approved for program participation.

  • Equipment must be ENERGY STAR® certified and either 2-stage or variable capacity.
  • Customer must enroll in an approved demand response program.
  • Subject to available funding and regional program participation.
